Secor112109 023Walk in Secor MetroParks.

Today I had a walk with friends at Secor MetroParks in Toledo.  It was a beautiful day for a walk.  The trails were pretty quiet for a Saturday morning.

I assume its because of the Ohio State/Michigan football game on this afternoon.  If its going to be like years past, the city becomes a figurative ghost town for the day.

Well, there was a slight overcast when I started out.  I got to the park about and hour early to walk a few trails and spend some time taking pictures.  I trail-hopped for a bit and wandered back to the trailhead just in time to meet up with my friends.

We walked the brown “multi-purpose” trail.  It’s relatively paved with stone dust and is clear of leaves, twigs, and debris.  It’s good for walking, biking, etc.  Round trip for this morning’s walk is 3.4 miles.

After the hike, we walked around the Wolfinger Cemetary that is located inside the park.  A lot of the graves date back to the 1830′s.
